These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of our services, including laboratory analyses, organoleptic assessments, health certificates, advisory services, tastings, masterclasses, and support with tender procedures. By engaging with our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Company Information

Meron is an internationally operating institute offering certified lab analyses, organoleptic evaluations, health certificates, expert advisory services, tasting sessions, masterclasses, and tender procedures. We work with both businesses and individual consumers in the Benelux and 18 other countries worldwide.

2. Services

Our core services include, but are not limited to:

  • Chemical and microbiological lab analyses
  • Organoleptic (sensory) assessments
  • Health certificates
  • Advisory based on test results
  • Guided tasting sessions
  • Masterclasses and training
  • Support during tenders and product submissions

3. Contract Duration & Termination

We work with both one-time assignments and ongoing service contracts.

  • Ongoing contracts are annual and cannot be terminated mid-term.
  • Clients must notify us at least 2 months before the end of the contract period if they do not wish to renew.
  • One-off assignments may be cancelled at any time before payment and sample submission.
  • Meron reserves the right to suspend or terminate services in case of late payments, misuse, or non-compliance.

4. Payment Terms

  • Standard payment term: 14 days from invoice date.
  • Prepayment is required for one-time assignments.
  • Contract clients are invoiced after service delivery.
  • In case of delayed payment, Meron may suspend services until the outstanding balance is cleared.

5. Service Delivery

  • The standard turnaround time is 96 hours, starting the day after sample receipt (working days).
  • If samples or required information are delivered late by the client, the delivery timeline may be adjusted accordingly.

6. Liability & Guarantees

  • Meron is solely responsible for the accuracy of the lab analysis.
  • Advisory and interpretative input are non-binding recommendations; clients retain full responsibility for how this information is used.
  • In case of error, Meron may offer a correction analysis at no additional charge.
  • Meron does not accept liability for indirect damages or commercial loss resulting from interpretation or misuse of the results.

7. Confidentiality & Data Handling

  • Meron operates under ISO 17025 accreditation, which guarantees confidentiality, impartiality, and secure data handling.
  • Test results are the property of the client and are never shared with third parties without written consent.
  • A standard confidentiality agreement applies. A separate NDA can be signed upon client request.

8. Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure (e.g. system failure, staff illness, or global events like pandemics), Meron will contact the client promptly to discuss a suitable solution. Depending on the situation, delivery may be postponed or rescheduled.

9. Sample Responsibility

  • Clients are responsible for the correct delivery of samples to our laboratory.
  • Upon request, Meron can coordinate pickup of the samples.
  • If a sample is deemed unfit for analysis, Meron will contact the client for a replacement.

10. Third-Party Use of Results

Results may only be shared with third parties (e.g. importers, courts, or certification bodies) with written approval from the client.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
